Emerald Guesthouse - Kempton Park

The room was spacious and sparkling clean, with a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. I loved that it was just a short distance from the airport, and the free shuttle was a great convenience. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the early breakfast pack since I was catching a 5am shuttle.

The location was excellent, close to transport!

Good swimming pool and particularly good location short walk to transport, Wi-Fi, TV options, clean and outside restaurants. Also, to the Gautrain station. Easy check-in and reasonably large room with a decent breakfast, access to the WiFi connection. Paid US$ 669.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, it was great to get free transfers to and from the airport, the breakfast was great and the gardens beautiful. Also felt very safe.

The facilities for dinner were limited - frozen meals or ordering a pizza takeaway.

The bed was comfy, but check-in took way too long on arrival.

I cannot say enough about this place. My flight was delayed, and there was someone there to pick me up at the airport in Jo-berg at 01:00 am!! Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the grounds were very nice. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

The strong wifi signal kept me connected throughout my stay. The delicious meals, particularly the breakfast, were a highlight and reasonably priced. I loved that I had access to a microwave and fridge in my room. The shower pressure was fantastic. The check-in process was frustrating. My room wasn't ready at the promised time, resulting in a three-hour wait, quite inconvenient. The shuttle service, while a great feature, was confusing as it only ran on the hour. The staff's response to my concerns about the room's cold temperature could have been more effective. I appreciated the responsive staff, but the room's heating issues made sleeping comfortably challenging. The breakfast options could improve, as the yogurt I received was expired. So, good aspects and some areas needing attention, especially regarding room readiness and maintenance.

The room was small and the window did not open such that it was very stuffy and warm.

Just a good pick for a brief stopover in Kempton Park with value for money. The staff's prompt assistance with arranging a packed breakfast for my early flight was a big help. Dress warmly if it's winter because the room can get quite cold.

The staff was so friendly. They even offered me a packed breakfast at 6:30 AM when I mentioned my early flight, didn't even ask for it!

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but still reasonable for what you get.

The place was wonderful and incredibly beautiful, we truly enjoyed it. Our twin room was equipped with a heater, soap and also new clean towls daily. The service was EXCEPTIONAL, including an easy check-in.

Shame the bathroom was so small.
